A great looking handmade Henry Herbert shirt in a glorious Sea Island cotton. We use only the finest shirting cottons from around the world and every shirt we make is handmade in England.

Henry Herbert has requests from all corners of the globe and every request is special and different. Pictured are a set of pyjamas we made for a cusomter in Germany – a slim tab collar complemented by a super soft Egyptian cotton.

The top picture is the special Henry Herbert box concealing the bespoke shirt pictured we have made for a customer and which is ready for delivery. Every shirt we make is handmade, in London, and we use only the finest cotton and Mother of Pearlbuttons. And everything we have made, is made in England – including the box and the packaging. The packaging hopefully shows the care and attention we take when delivering every shirt! A special request for a pink shirt with a white trim. This is an unusual and skilled piece of tailoring and involves cutting and stitching the collar twice. The shirt was for Phil O’Farrell who, with Freddie Smith, is part of the band Celtic Fiddle. (We made Freddie an extraordinary fish tail waistcoat which you can see under our waistcoats section). They play great Irish inspired tunes and you can listen to some of them on their MySpace account here.

A special shirt we have made for the Managing Director of a large media firm. The fabric is from Acorn, in Lancashire and is made of an excellent English cotton. The shirt is made even more unusual by the special collar trim and button sewing surround. Every part of this shirt was handmade, in London. Hopefully we will have a video up soon to show you the different processes in making a handmade, bespoke shirt.

A Henry Herbert shooting shirt, handmade in England, for an Austrian customer. We used a set of special fabrics from Acorn Fabrics, in Lancashire. They are one of the last remaining English shirting fabric companies left in the country. The shirt was handmade and uses Mother Of Pearl buttons and includes Henry Herbert removable brass collar bones.

Henry Herbert was lucky enough to recently have some of our shirts photographed by the excellent fashion and reportage photographer, Greg Funnell. Greg is a graduate of King’s College, London and patiently photographed some of the features of a Henry Herbert shirt. Every Henry Herbert shirt is hand made in London, every Henry Herbert shirt comes with removable brass collar bones and every Henry Herbert shirt is finished with the finest single stitching.
