Henry Herbert was extremely privileged to make the above suit: privileged on two counts in fact. The first because the suit was for the wedding of Ray Goold (above) a wonderful and talented musician. Ray plays with the Solent City Jazzmen in Southampton. The second because Ray asked for an extremely rare, but special, fabric for his suit – Seersucker. We choose a seersucker fabric from Holland & Sherry. Unfortunately the photograph may not do it justice looking at it on a computer, as seersucker fabric is woven in such a way that it gives a glorious looking wrinkled appearance in places and is great either as as suitor stand alone trousers or jacket.

We were privileged to be invited to make the shirt, waistcoat and trousers for this young man for his wedding day. He selected a crisp white shirt, with the fabric from Acorn Fabrics in Lancashire, a double breasted waistcoat using a luxurious Scottish cotton from Harrisons of Edinburgh and a pin striped pair of trousers (with a subtle orange tinge to the stripes). The combination looks great and his bride seems happy with the result!

A Henry Herbert suit for a young London based solicitor for his wedding day. The suit was made from a splendid Super 120′s cloth from Thomas Fisher, from Huddersfield and looks smashing with the accompanying lounge waistcoat…and his new wife.

A Henry Herbert three-piece suit for the wedding of Mr Steve Hunter. Mr Hunter is a Cardiothoracic surgeon in the North West of England and is a fascinating professional to talk to. We choose a glorious fabric from Hield, a Huddersfield based mill and one not a million miles away from where Mr Hunter works.

Henry Herbert was invited to make a morning suit and waistcoat for the gentleman pictured above – a young lawyer from London, who married in the south of France. We chose the traditional trouser cloth from Bateman & Ogden (a Yorkshire mill) and the cloth for the coat and the waistcoat was made by Dugdale Brothers, of Huddersfield. A great looking morning suit to match his splendid looking bride.

Henry Herbert was privileged to make a wedding suit for Tim Boyce (pictured), a broker at ICAP and the six suits for his six best men. The wedding took place in Italy and we chose a lightweight blue pure, English wool from Dugdale to cope with the higher Italian temperatures. Each man was measured individually and each pattern was cut individually, allowing us to cater for the variety of shapes and sizes. They all looked terrific.
