The Cowboy Cut Suit

Images & Video

Unusual Swagger

Tailor’s Notes
A very unusual suit for a young hotelier in London. The suit jacket is finely-cut and is matched with a pair of ‘boot-cut’ trousers. This is a special case, with a customer who knows exactly what he wants. The remarkable result is testament to the fact that with bespoke, there are no rules—just preferences.

The Construction
As much of the suit as possible was hand-tailored. A suit such as this takes 8-9 weeks to make, unless you opt for our Express Service. We have a halfway baste fitting and then a forward baste fitting before the suit is finished and delivered.

Details
This suit was made from a fine English wool from Holland & Sherry.

The Tailor’s Table – Revealed!

What’s on a tailor’s table?! Pictured is Charlie – the creator of Henry Herbert Tailors – at his Savile Row desk. It is not the tidiest desk in the world, but it has all the tools he needs to go through an order with each customer – tape measures, pins, chalk, books (and books) of fabrics and an order form. Henry Herbert is a scootering tailor service, using our fleet of Piaggio scooters to meet customers wherever and whenever is good for them. Or they can meet us, by appointment on Savile Row. Bespoke Waistcoat for a Bespoke Band!

Bespoke Savile Row Tailored Waistcoat

Freddie2Freddie1

A great looking waistcoat we made, using a rare fishtail lining for Freddie Smith who, with Phil O’Farrell, is part of the band Freddie Smith & Phil O’Farrell. (We made Phil a great looking shirt too, which you can see under our shirts section). They play uplifting Irish inspired tunes and you can listen to some of their music on their MySpace account here.

Wow – what a waistcoat!

Bespoke Waistcoat

Bespoke Waistcoat with Bespoke Buttonhole

A special brown waistcoat, made even more special by the very difficult sewing surround of the last button! (The colour matches the lining). This was part of an incredibly difficult three-piece suit that took Henry Herbert 37.5 hours of tailoring to complete, but well worth the toil. The fabric is a splendid Super 100’s wool from Holland & Sherry.

A great illustrator brings Henry Herbert to life

www.henryherbert.com

This is a wonderful illustration made for Henry Herbert by a superb illustrator called Alex Barrow. Alex is a graduate of Central St. Martin’s and draws everything by hand. We asked Alex to bring Henry Herbert to life and he drew this special montage for us. All of the other little drawings on our website are drawn by Alex too.

The Great Blue Sports Jacket with an Open Cream Shirt

Bespoke Savile Row Suit & Sports Jackets

A great blue jacket, designed with cloth from Dugdale Bros, complemented by a crisp shirt, using shirting cloth from Acorn Fabrics.  Although the jacket is only at its baste fitting stage, we can already see emerging the elegant effect that such a combination of colour, cut and style can offer.

Bespoke Helmets & Bespoke Suits!

Bespoke Helmets

A little extra accessory we have added to the Henry Herbert scootering service. We have marked all of the helmets with luminous wording describing what we do. The lettering was done by the super friendly and very professional Neon & Sighmakers in east London.

Our professional bespoke suits deliverers and tailors assistants will surely hit the streets with finesse.
