Follow the three rules for raincoats: 1. Know Your Materials: Find out what the coat is made of and whether it’s water-resistant 2. Cloudy Is Okay: You’ll definitely want to throw on your raincoat when it’s storming, but really, any vaguely overcast day is fine. 3. Stay Cool—Not Necessarily Warm! And PS – get some good gloves and scarf to match.

It’s time to forget about the lack of a British summer and focus on the inevitable cold ahead. To make sure you’re ready for what lies ahead – both this winter and many more to come – it is time to think of overcoats.
The Construction
Handmade, the overcoat is made and cut in England. . As with every overcoat we make, unless you choose our Express service, the overcoat will take 8-9 weeks to make – we have a half way baste fitting and then a forward baste fitting before the overcoat is finished and delivered.

The cloth was from Porter & harding and the lining from Dugdales in Huddersfield. The cloth is 100% wool with hidden, working buttons.

Bespoke Cashmere Overcoat

A bespoke single breasted overcoat that we made for a gentleman in London. The cashmere cloth – made in England – is extremely soft and durable and is an extremely soft and fine fabric, but as a health warning a little expensive too!

We are always keen to experiment with new fabrics and new styles too – if you have a particular idea or fabric you wish to use! This overcoat, made for a gentleman in London, is finished with a velvet collar trim, contrasting a grey charcoal wool.
